Repeated, unauthorized, use of credit card by a business? Please help me, these people are laughing in my face!!! I authorized a transaction for $4.55 to ship me some paper work, and they since, have charged my credit card “four” more times totaling $99.85 within a span of 21 days!!! My blood pressure is on the rise. Please tell me if this “Hard Working Consumer” has ANY hope for the “last laugh”? Please help me with any information I need to know about my rights of unauthorized charges made to my Credit Card by an established business.

Thank You for your time

Dear Lola,

You need to contact your credit card issuing bank and they will help you to proceed with chargeback. Nobody is allowed to charge your credit card without your explicit authorization.

Please be advised that Legal Helpmate is not a law firm and we do not give legal advice to the public.

Best regards,
Customer Support

Please help. I have given my father POA for a purchase of a home under may name. I have my sister's help and have looked at my credit report. My father has opened credit cards using my name and is in debt about $100K. The mortgage for the house has also not been paid for 3 months now. I am unsure what sort of POA I have given him. Can he open credit cards with any POA? If I call the credit card companies will they go after him? Will he receive jail time? I am living in Israel for 3 years now and am considering bankruptcy. I will be going to the US embassy and have a notary for revoking the POA signed. Where should I send it to? Please help..
