My mother has Alzheimer's since 2001. She has been in a nursing home for the past 6 years and is not capable of making decisions. Her doctor has advised me to obtain a POA.

What type of POA should I get? What documents do I need in order to prepare the POA and what is the process to follow since she is not able to sign any document or make decisions?

Typically how much does this process cost and what type of lawyer can provide this service?

I appreciate your advice.

Thanks.
